New bike + boat tour programs for 2016!
Bike and boat tours are a perennial favorite for our travelers, booking up as fast as we can get them online each season. We’re excited to announce three new additions to our ever-popular bike and boat tour lineup!
Dutch tulip season spring foray
Experience the explosion of color in Holland gardens and countryside during tulip season. The season is short, though, so move quickly to get space on one of these trips!
Enjoy leisurely cycling on mainly flat roads, touring historic towns, walking the beach at the North Sea, visiting the Keukenhof (Holland’s most famous garden), and spending time in Aalsmeer for the largest flower auction in the world. Starting and ending in Amsterdam, this 5-day/4-night river and canal cruise aboard the aptly-named La Belle Fleur fits nicely into a spring Europe getaway.
This tour would be a great add-on to many of our other European itineraries. Search others on BikeTours.com.
Champagne dreams holiday
If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience dans la campagne française (in the French countryside), this new program in the land of bubbly will have you dreaming of days pedaling in the vineyards.
Maybe you’re in the mood for exploring in the north of France! This Champagne region bike and boat tour aboard the Zwaantje leads you along the beautiful Marne River valley from Paris to Epernay (or reverse).
On the way, discover quiet villages and hamlets, stop by World War I memorial sites, and visit the chapel where Dom Pérignon is buried. In Epernay, you’ll appreciate the prestigious champagne houses like Moët & Chandon. A guided afternoon tour and tasting from one of the major Champagne houses is included in this package!

Wine tasting heaven in Bordeaux
The countryside is as lush as the wine is plentiful, and you’ll be delighted by the villages and chateaux on this route.
This itinerary through the sun-drenched Bordeaux region in south-western France offers daily rides through one of the most prolific wine-growing areas in the world. Aboard the aptly named Bordeaux, you’ll cruise the Dordogne, Garonne, and Gironde Rivers from Castets-en-Dorthe to Fronscac (or reverse).
Mid-way through the tour, spend the day exploring the city of Bordeaux’s architectural gems, which spans both sides of the Garonne River. And of course, don’t forget to stop for wine-tastings along your way!
