Staff bucket list: Chloe picks tours near and far

We at BikeTours.com have the incredible job of talking about bike tours all day, every day. And we think you might be interested to know what we'd pick, if we're picking (and we do often get to!). Read the staff bucket list and profile below, and see if you have any of the same interests or bucket list tours! Read all the staff bike tour bucket lists.
**Chloe has left BikeTours.com to pursue other opportunities, but let us know if you have any of the same interests! We'd love to help you make your own bucket list a reality!

Meet Chloe

Chloe is a Georgia girl, born and raised in the South, who came to BikeToursDirect after three years of outdoor specialty retail at a local outfitter. She has a great love of the outdoors and travel.

She first hopped on a plane at just 9 months old. Many of her fondest memories from childhood include traveling with her family – observing geothermals at Yellowstone National Park, cruising through a super-pod of dolphins in Canada’s Inside Passage, sailing on a catamaran in the West Indies and eating fresh mangoes. The list goes on.

Her favorite travel experience was a six-month road trip around the US. Yosemite National Park ranks at the top of her list of places she absolutely can’t wait to go back to. Currently settled in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she spends most of her time (not working) rock climbing and dreaming of the next trip.
Likes

Cities with history, mystery, and places to explore for a day or two, and then off to far flung locales with few people and minimal amenities.
Dislikes

Anything with too much structure.
Adores

Wandering around places with no particular destination or plan and active pursuits – rock climbing, caving, kayaking, cycling, and new activities. Delicious food!
Cycling style

I want to be leisurely cruising through town one day, and mountain biking the next!

Bucket List

1. Portland, Oregon: Pub and Pedal Tour

Have you seen the TV show Portlandia?  If the city is anything like this quirky, weird, and unapologetically hipster satire, I may never return to Chattanooga.  And, because there is soooo much to explore and learn about in the good ol’ US of A, no passport is necessary!

2. Central Greek Aegean (Mountain Bike and Boat)

A long day of mountain biking rewarded by a relaxing swim in the clear blue waters of the Aegean--what could be better? Oh, delicious Greek food and traveling in style on a BOAT! ‘Nuff said, I’m in! … And I can bring along all my tour biking friends that don’t want to mountain bike (as the tour company does concurrent touring rides each day as well)!

3. Authentic Southern Thailand

Caves, beaches, karst limestone cliffs, rain forests -- this tour has a bit of everything, including a homestay in a village with a local family. I can’t wait to experience the unique culture and geography of Thailand firsthand!

4. Glacier, Banff, and Jasper National Parks

Here we go again in the good ol’ USA and we’ll throw some Canada in there for good measure, aye? This tour is slap-full of national parks. I can’t wait to breathe in the cool mountain air while zooming past alpine lakes and meadows, the Canadian Rockies, and even some elk, moose, or bighorn sheep!

5. Bangalore to Goa

I can already smell the curry and exotic spices wafting from the Devaraj market! On this tour, I most look forward to visiting ancient temples and small villages, and immersing myself in Indian and Hindu culture.
