Our Team's Favorite Tours (and the Ones We're Dreaming About Next)

You know how it goes. Someone on the team gets back from a tour and won't stop talking about it. The photos start circulating. Then someone else chimes in with, "Oh, I've been wanting to do that one for years."

That's exactly what happens in our Slack channels pretty much every week. We swap notes, share moments, and keep a running list of tours we want to try next. This month, we thought it'd be fun to pull back the curtain a bit and share some of those conversations with you.

Think of this as a peek into what we're booking, what we loved, and what we're already planning to ride again.

Three Lakes Tour: From Geneva to Annecy

Self-Guided • 5 nights • Rider Level: Active

This one keeps coming up. It's a bike and hotel tour that links Lake Geneva, Lake Bourget, and Lake Annecy through some seriously beautiful parts of the French Alps. And here's the best part: you don't have to be a mountain climber to enjoy it. The route follows river paths, so it's accessible for leisure cyclists who still want that Alpine scenery without the brutal climbs.

Taylor put it this way: "This tour offers the perfect mix of mountains, lakes, and small towns, all connected by scenic cycling routes through the Alps. I loved that the itinerary allowed us to slow down and truly experience the region: the taste of local pastries, the scent of blooming trees and fondue, the touch of cool stone castles, the sound of church bells echoing through quiet villages, and the sight of the Alps rising dramatically above the lakes. This tour promised not just a ride through stunning landscapes, but a deeper connection to the culture, food, and rhythm of daily life in this corner of Europe. It delivered that and more."

A few highlights from the route:

  • Geneva, often called 'The Peace Capital'
  • Lake Geneva, the largest lake in Central Europe
  • Fort l'Écluse, an elevated fort with serious history
  • Lake Bourget, the largest natural glacial lake in France
  • Chambéry's Old Town, full of art and architecture
  • Lake Annecy, Europe's cleanest lake
  • Annecy itself, with the 12th-century Palais de l'Isle and the stunning Cathedral of Saint-Pierre

Best of Slovenia: Highlights Across the Country From Bled to Piran

Self-Guided • 10 nights • Rider Level: Recreational

Slovenia has been on a lot of wish lists lately. It's still a bit under the radar compared to some other European destinations, but those who've been there rave about it. This tour takes you from Bled, with its island church and fairytale setting, all the way across the country to the coastal town of Piran.

Liv put it this way: "Between its status as a major hub for outdoor recreation, the breathtaking scenery, and the exquisite local cuisine, Slovenia has been pulling at my heartstrings for several years now."

The route is varied. You'll cycle through Triglav National Park, past Mount Triglav and Lake Bohinj, and down to the capital city of Ljubljana. Then you head through the Karst region, visit the famous Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle, and end up on the coast.

Some highlights include:

  • Bled's island church
  • Triglav National Park and Mount Triglav
  • Lake Bohinj and Savica Waterfall
  • Ljubljana Castle
  • Postojna Caves (a UNESCO monument)

Self-Guided • 7 nights • Rider Level: Recreational

This tour is special. Starting in the northeastern Dolomites, you follow the old railway route through the Höhlenstein Valley, past the UNESCO-listed Three Peaks, and into Cortina d'Ampezzo. From there, the route takes you through Pieve di Cadore (birthplace of the painter Titian), down through the Piave Valley, and eventually into the lagoon city of Venice.

Liv loved this tour: "Cycling through the valley with Tre Cime and the Dolomites in the backdrop will forever hold a special place in my heart."

The route is varied. You get alpine lakes, Olympic towns, medieval hill towns like Asolo, and then the canals and frescoed buildings of Treviso before you reach Venice. It's a journey from mountain to sea, and the contrast is part of what makes it memorable.

Here's what you'll see along the way:

  • UNESCO Dolomites landscapes
  • Lake Toblach and Lake Dürrensee
  • Drei Zinnen (Three Peaks)
  • Cortina d'Ampezzo
  • Bassano del Grappa and the Ponte Vecchio Bridge
  • Asolo, a gorgeous medieval hill town
  • Treviso, known for canals and Italian fashion heritage
  • Venice, where the tour ends

Guided • 7 nights • Rider Level: Recreational

This is one of our most popular bike and boat tours, and for good reason. You cycle between two iconic canal cities, Amsterdam and Bruges, while staying on a floating hotel. Each day, you bike through Holland and Flanders, then return to the boat for meals and overnight stays.

Jan loves this tour: "Amsterdam to Bruges (on any of the boats) is one of my favorite tours I've done. All of our bike and boat trips are fantastic, but this one feels special to me. I'm natively Dutch, so the route connects to my roots and is packed with layers of cool history."

The route takes you along the Vecht River, past impressive mansions and country houses. You'll visit Kinderdijk, with its UNESCO World Heritage windmills, and cycle through the Dutch province of Zeeland, known for its beaches and Delta works. Then you cross into Belgium, cycling through Flanders to Antwerp, Ghent, and finally Bruges.

Some highlights:

  • Amsterdam
  • Utrecht
  • Vecht River and Vianen
  • Schoonhoven, the 'Silver City'
  • Kinderdijk and its UNESCO windmills
  • Antwerp
  • Ghent
  • Bruges, the 'Pearl of Flanders'

Guided or Self-Guided • 7 nights • Rider Level: Active

This tour is on a lot of bucket lists. The Camino de Santiago has been a pilgrimage route for centuries, and this tour lets you experience it by bike. You join the French Way in Leon and cycle the last 320 kilometers to Santiago de Compostela.

Jan explained: "Of the tours I haven't done, I'd love to ride the entire northern part of the Camino, ideally starting all the way in France. The food and scenery in that region are incredible, and I've wanted to experience it by bike for years."

The route winds through quaint villages, picturesque countryside, and historical sites. You'll pass through the Bierzo Valley, the landscapes of Galicia, and eventually reach Santiago de Compostela, where the magnificent cathedral marks the end of the pilgrimage.

For many people, this is more than just a bike tour. It's a physical and mental journey where each pedal stroke becomes part of your own pilgrimage.

Some highlights:

  • Historical León
  • Palacio de Gaudí
  • The Bierzo Valley
  • Galicia's landscapes
  • Santiago de Compostela and its UNESCO cathedral
